content items not displaying in sitemap - 2006/11/10 20:11 Hello. I have installed this component and the only items showing the sitemap are items from my menu. I have installed and published the content bot as well. This site has TONS of content items that are not linked to a menu and pulled in place via modules. How can I grab these items?

Also, I understood that the Google sitemap generator was included with this. Where is that?

Thanks.

Odp:content items not displaying in sitemap - 2006/11/10 23:23 Welcome.
In my opinion, your com_content_bot is not installed, or not published.
You can download mambots - integrators from http://fun.kubera.org/index.php?Itemid=33&func=select&id=5&lang=iso-8859-1
Go to Mambots from Joomla Admin Menu and check it, please.

Google sitemap is here:
http://<Your website>/index2.php?option=com_sefservicemap&task=googlemap

I hope, it's help You.

Best regards,
Radek.

Re:Odp:content items not displaying in sitemap - 2006/11/11 22:24 Ok.

The second think.
Have You problem only with content bot, or problems with links, contacts and newsfeeds too?

What is Your version of Joomla?
If version is older than 1.10, download component from my site, and install again, please.
Today I made my component compatibile with older version of Joomla and Mambo.

Maybe it help....

Regards,
Radek.

[SOLVED] Same Problem with Some Details - 2008/05/07 14:54 Hi,
I have the same problem is one or other way.
I have Joomla! 1.0.15 Satable installed in the main domain, I have the latest version of SEF Service Map 1.0.4 installed with all the FOUR primary bots INSTALLED & ENABLED, and I have some of My Sections (including Categories) published to one of my Menus.

However, at the page of the sitemap I got DUPLICATE versions of my content items shown. I tried many trials and tricks but non worked. Finally, I arrived at this conclusion:

  • At the Structure panel of the SEF Service Map administration, either to PUBLISH the menu item pointing to the Sections, and in this case I get all of my Content items (Section,Category, and Content Items) shown twice in the map, (With the Com Content Bot enabled),

  • Or, UNPUBLISH the menu item of the specific Section at the Structure panel, and then NOTHING is shown in the map: no menu item and no content items, regardless the Content Integrator is ENABLED or DISABLED,

  • Or, (which is the choice I was compelled to chose), PUBLISH the menu item and DISABLE the Content Bot integrator, resulting in the Section-Category structure to show in the map (ONCE), but WITHOUT the content items themselves.

  • Is there another workaround to get my content items shown in the map without duplication?

Any how, thanks a lot for the component, I've tried many others and found it to be the best among them that fulfilled my needs without errors from the Google Webmasters Tools.

    Solution

Good news; I've just solved the problem. The duplication was because I was enabling both the Sections AND Categories in the Structure panel, and so the categories are displayed twice: one within the section display and the other by themselves. When I disabled the Categories (keeping the Sections enabled) the duplication has gone, and the hierarchical view: Sections > Categories > Content is perfectly displayed both on the sitemap page and the XML file.

Re:[SOLVED] Same Problem with Some Details - 2008/05/08 15:55 Hi, I'm having the same problem.
My map only shows the menu items but nothing beyond that.
All 4 of the mambots are published.
    Any ideas?
