And the link eg: index2.php?option=com_sefservicemap&task=xmlmap&no_html=1&lang=iso-8859-1 This URL found the xml sitemap for me.
I am concerned that the xml sitemap for Google only found about 1/3 of my website pages.
Part of the explanation maybe that the xml sitemap for Google only contains pages that can be reached from my navigation menu, which are the pages that SEF Service Map finds and lists. Other pages that are reached from a link (but not a menu) may not be included in the Service map or the xml sitemap
However, there still are many pages that can be reached from my website navigation menu that are not included. --------------- Later edit by author: I used a link-checker to crawl my website. That activated SEF Service Map to create SEF URLs for many new pages. Then they showed up in the Service Map, the xml sitemap for Google, and the txt sitemap for Yahoo.
FYI: the link-checker that I used was Xenu Link Sleuth, which is free software. The default setting is for 30 simultaneous crawl threads, which closed down my website due to "flooding." Xenu completed the crawl when I reduced the number of threads to 5.
